Slow Cooker Brisket

Put some cut up carrots and onions in your slow cooker.

Season the brisket with salt and pepper and brown the on both sides in a heavy pan. Place it on top of the vegetables

Put the meat on top of the vegetables in the slow cooker

Add mustard, brown sugar and vinegar to the pan that you browned the meat in.

Add a bottle of dark beer. Bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper and pour over the meat in the slow cooker.

cook for 8 hours on low.

Slice across the grain and serve.
